Our Programs
GSD programs are currently focused on Port-au-Prince, Haiti in partnership with the St. Luke Foundation for Haiti (www.stlukehaiti.org) We hope to expand our programs across the globe in the near future in order to provide our services to other people in need.
Medical
Our Medical programs consist of screening patients with urologic disorders. We focus on benign conditions that negatively impact their quality of live and can be life-threatening. We also provide critical care assessment and treatment.
Surgical
Our surgical interventions range from providing hernia repairs to minor urologic procedures. We also focus on providing a cutting-edge treatments, such as Aquablation therapy and Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) for benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH), which has never been offered outside of major industrialized countries. In fact, HoLEP, considered to be the best treatment for BPH is only available at approximately 15 institutions within the United States.
Educational
The educational offerings of GSD include the development of standardized patient records and a charting system, informed consents for patient procedures, and quality initiatives and nursing instructions for clinical care, pre-operative, as well as post-operative care needs. GSD also provides translation services for patient education and present information in pictoral and story-board manner to account for all patient literacy levels.
